The love song

First of all, I found this interesting because the speaker is using internal dialouge as his expression. So, the reader is reading the thoughts of this man. I think the love song is not the best title for this work. He is mainly lamenting his lack of doing things; he has not lead a very spontaneous life thus far. I think the song of regret would be a better title. Although, Prufrock is considering telling a woman he loves/ has feelings for her making it a "love song". He is indecisive over this matter, like he seems to recall being over most matters in his life. I am unsure if the speaker is literally going to see this woman or if he is just thinking through a scenario of going to see the woman. I believe the last is true; he is lamenting his indecisive and unspontaneous life, so I believe he would not be going to see the woman but is thinking about how it would happen if he did. I think the poem would be better if the end would have him literally knocking on the door of the woman. I think this would leave the reader thinking " wow, he actually is changing" this would make leave the reader wondering what happened.
